    Got Awesome News

Well I went to the orthopedic doctor again yesterday to get my pink cast off and another x-ray taken. Well I finally got some good news.

I AM OUT OF MY CAST AND IN A WALKING BOOT AND I CAN DRIVE AND WALK AROUND WITH OUT MY CRUTCHES.

Mark and I were expecting other news yesterday just because that has been our luck lately. But we were both pleased that things worked out so well. The doctor said that the bone healed nicely he just wants to put me in "walking boot" for another month or so for the extra support and then when I go back for my next check up I should be good to go and not have to have anything on my foot.

Thank all of you guys for your earlier support when things were looking down. We appreciate all of the prayers and thoughts.
Mrs. Wallnut a.k.a (the head nut).

        Wow, that's awesome.

It would have been a shame to have to go in after all this time for surgery, and then another couple months for healing.

Looks like you won't have to experience Summer from the couch afterall.

Great news, Melissa. Now for some un-asked-for-advice, take it easy and don't be hard headed like aI was in a similar situation. The walking boot is not so you can do things you did before the break. It's to help you to continue to heal, you aren't healed yet and the fracture is easily broken again, and the second time is nasty.
                You take care,
                ken

great to hear, loml has a hairline fracture in her 4th metatarsal on the right foot, and she got it right before going off for 2 weeks, I sure hope she doesn't get any worse while she is there.
