    3ANEBT3ZP - Sorry to say

For the past 2 years I've hosted the Annual North East BT3 Zealot Picnic in late June. I'm terribly sorry to say that I'm just not going to be able to do so this year. I've just got entirely too many things going on and will probably be right in the middle of having a roof put on the house and a new patio built, as well as some other things that need to be done. There is just no way I'm going to have time to plan the event or host it.

I'd really like to see this event continue on as I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet some of the forum members and I always had a good time. So if anyone wants to take care of hosting it this year, now would be the time to speak up.

    Hey Thom

We could move it to Arkansas, and invite people from all over. I would call this the center of the US, but I I know I would be contractdicted. Anyway Good Luck and I hope the tradition continues. Bill

This is what I was gonna say - folks on this forum 'd probably be happy to help put on a roof or build a patio. All ya gotta do is give 'em enough beer when the job is done.

I am not sure. Knowing some of the people around and specially the host. It might be cheaper for THOM just to hire a building contractor, than to pay for the BEER.

If he wants me to help the going rate is JD and coke...

Roofing is fun, largest roof I helped do last year was 37square. 2 people did 80% of the ripoff and 95% of the new shingles. Oh and it was all hand nailed, including all the tar paper. Noon on Sunday we started and noon on saturday we got done. Its a hip with 6 "sides" (a hip roof with 1 valley). We did it section by section and all the capping saturday morning. Between working on the roof and working 3 days that week.. I worked over 80 hours Sunday noon to saturday noon.
