Been done, usually get refunds from federal and state so we try to get them done as soon as we receive everything in the mail. Refunds have been long gone too!

As an independent contractor I have to pay taxes quarterly, so mine get done in Jan so I know what to pay then.

        I hate income taxes!

Trying to figure estimated tax becomes a bigger pain every year. What I wouldn't give for a flat tax. No deductions, etc. Just figure what you owe and send it in.

Anyone using TurboTax Deluxe? I have not been able to figure out where to include income from sale of timber. (This is not a business venture, but just the fall-out from Katrina.)

I would think it would have to be done like a business income, schedule c. That's what I use to document my meager book royalty income. Its not an official business, I have no license, but its extra income.

                    Done

I had our CPA do them last Saturday ,and I finished my mom's last night. Now all there is to do is figure out how I can squeeze a tool or two out of the refund.

EFiled this morning. Had to pay the Feds $250, and the State $101. What a waste.
