Guilt is a wonderful thing (minor tool gloat)

Yesterday LOML made an infomercial impulse buy, then 'fessed up. Later I "found" a $10 off Rockler card, went and came back with a Kreg K3000 pocket-hole kit (also had a coupon for 1000 free Kreg screws) and a pair of bifocal safety glasses.

I think I'll let her make more impulse buys....

    Hidden joke

that's great, but the bottom line is every $100 she spends costs you $200.

    Gotta be a better way.

    That reminds me.

Once there was a man who, upon reaching the age of 65, retired from his job.

His wife found him sitting at the breakfast table that morning after looking somewhat depressed. She said, what's the matter, have nothing to do?

Oh, no, he said, its just that I wished I had saved more, I've been looking at our savings and we're not really that well off.

She said, come on, honey lets go for a drive.

So she told him where to go and soon they pulled up in front of a 12-unit apartment building. He said, what's this? She said, it's out retirement nest egg, I bought it for the income.

He said, wow, where did you get the money?

She said, every time we had sex, I put ten dollars in a jar, and invested it.

Wow, he said, if I'd known that I'd have given you all of my business...

        Good one!

        Good joke!

As for the bottom line, the last time I remember her making a major impulse buy was about five years ago, so I'll take my chances....

With my wife it's pillows. Every time i make a tool purchase she talks about how many decorative pillows she can buy.
          Thanks again,
          Mike

Now that's good deal for you in two ways.
Pillows only cost $10-20 so a $200 tool purchase totals out at $220.
AND, you can keep inventory of your tools sitting in your living room. Just count the pillows and remember the tool that each of them came with.
