I sold my house through craigslist 6 months ago. I had a sign in front of the house and listing on craigslist. Thats all it took. Saved 6% commission and several hundread dollars in advertising.

What I don't like about craigslist when selling small items is lot of junk inquiries..

I see a lot of real good deals posted on forums related to Craigslist. Unfortunately, there is not a listing for this area. The closest are Atlanta and Charlotte.
Oh, don't leave the 's' off of Craigs, you may have something to explain to the Boss, home or work! DAMHIKT :-(

I have never sold anything on Craigslist, but I have bought stuff there, and I check it every day.

My wife uses Craigslist to buy and sell often. We've had good experiences with it.

Have used Craigslist to post for rent for some of my apartments and have had fairly good luck in doing so. Haven't used it to buy or sell anything.

Sure saves a lot of money over advertising in the local paper!!

Sold my old car through it. Got a good price, almost what I asked, and it was gone in like 4 days. I did get lots of idiot offers for it. Like: "I'll give you half what you asking, but you'll have to drive 100+ miles to get the car to me cause I don't feel like driving 100+ miles to get to you."

I have bought and sold on Craigslist. The items sold were at bargain prices. It seems those bargains are the only products that sell. You get replies from scammers and replies that ask "is it still available?" Never hear from them again.

You can tell the scammers by the poor grammer and the strange transaction plans.

I have sold several things with great success, if your selling a good product at a fair price you'll have no problems, it definitely beats ebay no fee's for and for big items no shipping.

Bought a few things off Craigslist. Haven't sold anything yet but used it to give away the old sliding patio doors when I installed the French doors. Do have a few things I need to post in the near future.
