You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner,

locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife,

and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock cal .40, and you are an

expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!

Does the man look poor? Or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

What about the kids?

Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?

What does the law say about this situation?

Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1?

Why is this street so deserted?

We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.

Personally I think you Americans are way too uptight about your politics.

Take a look at us up here. We can't decide who we want in control so we have elected 2 minority governments in a row and let the party that runs in only 1 province decide the outcome of many issues when they don't even want to be part of our country. Something that could never happen down there.

Members,

My "political" post was in no way meant to insult, belittle or otherwise infurate any of you. Which is exactly why I added the disclaimer at the end.

I'm really sorry that some of you took it the wrong way, that wasn't my intent.

If the truth be known, years ago, way past my abilities of recall, I registered as a Democrat. I have always voted for candidates who I felt would do the best job and reflected my feelings on a subject. I think its wrong to condem an entire political party, and I really don't believe that this joke should be viewed in that manner.

Hey guys, if you can't laugh at stuff, well then we may as well just give up.

It's not as if the joke singled out an individual and then demolished his or her integrity.

If you replace the party names with something else, and I'll leave that to you as I'm too deep in stuff already, you'll see that the joke isn't so dreadful.

Well, I thought it was pretty funny to me. But, then again I know a lot of people who get offened by some pretty wierd stuff. I could understand if the subject had been something violent or racial or someting along those lines. Also, had there not been some kind of disclaimer or what not.
