People are beginning to take some liberties, so...

...I'm gonna have to get a little more strict on the policies. I don't have the time to play fireman and put out the flames, and it's not fair to ask my VOLUNTEER moderators to spend anymore time "policing" the forums than they already do.

Sooo... please stop posting any jokes, news clippings, personal feelings, or any other information regarding the following topics until further notice:
    • Politics
    • Religion
    • Off-color jokes
    • The price of tea in China

Accuse me of censorship, tell me I'm bowing down to political correctness, or just call me an idiot, but the reasons are personal. I don't have time for crap right now, and I don't plan on shoveling it on my volunteer help.

    Thanks,

Fair enough, Sam. I'm sorry if I've contributed to the discomfort.

Rant's are cool, just not rants that fall into one of the above categories.

Sam, this isn't about political correctness, it's about what used to be called "common sense". I like to think the people that post here still have it.

I completely understand putting the kibosh on discussions of religion, off-color jokes, and the price of tea in China. But Politics? In an election year? When we are in the midst of an armed invasion? Seems a little harsh Sam. Can't we just keep it out of the tool & project fora and let 'em run here?

Right on. When we start to delve into to these areas, we have a tendency to treat each other with less respect. The main reason I hang out here is for the respect, knowledge and support we all share with other. Call me a tree-hugger if you want, but I put up with enought garbage during the day. I want to relax here.

Thanks to everyone that make this a great place.

Dodgers? What are you worrying about them for? 85 wins may win the NL West this year.

Heh heh. I went to a late-season Dodgers-Giants game at the 'Stick a few years ago, wearing a Dodger hat. I'll never make that mistake again!

It's weird how that rivalry colors things. The other day, while motoring in slow traffic, I noticed and attractive woman in the car next to me. As her lane moved forward I saw the Giants sticker on the back of her car. She went from an 8 to a 3 just like that!
