I'm with Ken. After seeing the entries, I figure I've got two choices.

      1) Sell my BT3100 and take up another hobby. Maybe raising wombats for fun and profit.
      2) Get out to the shop more often.

      Oh, and a third one...

      Buy more tools!

Absolutely amazing work .... I had to place my vote for what I thought was the most "creative" use of a single 2x6 ... It made it a little easier for me to pick, cause "ALL" the entries were awesome in their own right.

VERY NICE WORK FOLKS! As others have said, this contest is very inspiring.

              Wooo Hooooo!!!!

I'm in the lead! Lowest number of votes wins right?!?!?!

Sad, when I couldn't even vote for my own project. And I LIKE my project. but best in show it isn't.

I'll have to check to the rules, maybe we are using a golf scoring system!

But count me in the "I did not vote for my own project club"

I would like to know what if any plans you used for the rack. Rumor

Don't forget, there are four other prizes, determined by the forum moderators.

First Place and Runner up in both the turned and non-turned categories.

I think there are only 2 turned enties so they each already won something.

But this (Best of Show) is the only one determined by popular vote.

Plans..... we don' need no stinkin' plans.....

actually I took several "common" ideas and a couple of my own and combined them and came up with my own plans. Once the voting is over I can walk you through the basics I learned from doing it.

By the way, would it be considered cheating if I registered a hundred or so new screenames and voted?[]

Well, unfortunately for me, my wife may sweetly smile, but usually she just ignores me when I try the "but I will need ________________(insert tool of choice)" routine.

but it might be nice to have something that could trim up a nice big piece of slate......

As much as I admire the ingenuity of all the contestants in getting the most out of the their 2X6s, I enjoyed seeing the finishes. Having done a bunk bed for my son in SYP, and having spent almost as much experimenting with finishes for it as I did on the lumber, I enjoyed seeing the fruit of some other's efforts with this difficult wood!
