    The BT3012 Saw Mill

    This converted 12" BT3000 allows me to "mill" down over 300 linear feet of 4" x 15" beams that are between 6-15' long. At a true 4" my BT3000 won't rip on one pass, so I bought another from CL for $50 invested about $200 for the sled and rails, clamps etc and $35 for a 12 inch blade...
    T Track adjusting fence( KD premium fir, planed and jointed) with embedded rule - sight made with acrylic, then scored to match another sight on the outfeed side of the sled. The 2 rules allow the sled fence to be incremented toward the blade. Infeed side with one support off of the saw. If you look on the bottom of the sled, you can see the UHMW "glides" that travel through the aluminum tracks. It slides easily and with the beam clamped to the sled there is minimal chance of binding on the blade. Outfeed for the sled Back of saw, and a 1/8"thick strip I cut The paper is the cut. If you look left of the paper you can see the cut line. To the right, the wide line seen is not the cut, that's above the cut...
