    A Pour Spout Stopper Today

I previously turned one of these using my Nova midi chuck and found that I couldn't finish the base. This one was done using a jam chuck, works much better.
Prior to turning you must drill a 1" hole in the base so I picked up a 1" rubber expandable plug at Lowes ($3.50) and a 5/16"X3" carriage bolt ($.24). I replaced the stubby bolt that came with the plug with the carriage bolt and it works great.

I knew there was a cheaper solution that their expensive 'jam chuck system'. Great idea, and beautiful result!

Nice, I love the stopper and the solution. Now I've got to get over to Lowes and find that expandable plug. Thanks for sharing.
