    cut from a different "cloth"

Not an original idea as it’s becoming all the rage in my pen forum. Last night I made a pen from Denim and CA glue. The scan came out crummy but you can at least get the idea. Took about 6 hours total to build up the blanks and another hour to turn and finish it. Good for a prototype and the next one will be better. Not satisfied with the finish.

Cool. And very interesting. Is the denim just wrapped around the pen tube and then soaked in CA and hit with accelerator?

    How does it turn?

    Thanks for sharing.

Wrapped a tube with denim and put on coat after coat of CA until I had it built up past where the bushings would be and then turned it to size. Polished with micromesh and slapped it together That's about it.

Yeah I think it looks cool too. I take it the denim itself never makes contact with the chisel, just the built up CA?

That's a lot of CA to build up.
