    Spalted Ambrosia Maple Jr. Gent

From the Maple I got at the sawmill a while back.
This is from a few blanks I cut on a slightly different bias than the last ones. It's amazing what a few degrees difference makes.

Thanks for taking the time to look. Critques welcome, as always.

If the skipper heard you call that deck a floor he would throw you through that little round window

That's a very unusual and attractive-looking pen - great work, Ken!

I've lost count of the number of pens we've had posted up to now, but each time I see one I think "Why don't I try turning those?"

So far, I haven't come up with an answer, but it gets more difficult each time not to try one. Perhaps when I've got through my stock of bowl blanks .....

Ken, your porportions appear to be off and it is obvious that the skewed bias of the grain is going to create problems with the pen's mechanism.[V] Of course that is just a first impression based on a photo. I would have to examine it closer to do a true evaluation. E-mail me for a shipping address....[^][}]
