    I turned a couple today

The first is a maple and walnut bottle stopper. My intention was to make a candle holder but I screwed up when cutting it to size so it turned into a bottle stopper.

Here is a mahogany candle holder for my office managers new coffee table.

Looking good there Dick, I like the wood choices on the stopper. They flow well together.

The maple is from a 1940s grade school desk top. It's a beautiful piece of wood but I don't have much left.
I thought that the walnut would blend well with the maple.

Here is one of my early turnings from a glue up of that maple.
