This project is made from a little round of redwood, a lidded bowl that will be a gift to my friend Joe, who lost his father a little over a year ago and knowing my woodworking hobby gave me the tools from his father's small shop. His father made small-scale model replicas of wooden masted ships like the USS Constitution. No picture today, just the video - thanks for watching, to see the finished item skip to the end.

Lidded Redwood Bowl
In this video I turn a lidded bowl from some California Redwood, a gift for my friend Joe as a thank you in remembrance of his father.Bill in Buena ParkTags: None👍 1 -
Nicely done! You make it look simple, but design sometimes is not! I always want to add "one more" cove or feature, which ends up distracting more than enhancing.Hank Lee

Thanks Hank. I try to start with a general design in mind, and then only make minor adjustments or embellishments as the wood allows and mood strikes me.Bill in Buena ParkComment
