    An Appology

Having been around BT3Central (and woodworking) longer than most of the members, I have made it a point to try to comment on all of the finished projects that are posted. I have not done that in the Turning forum for a couple of reasons.

    1) You guys turn out finished items faster than I can keep up with them.

    2) Having very little experience with turning, my knowledge and understanding of what goes into your work is somewhere in line of what the IT guys are talking about most of the time.

I am constantly impressed by the intricacy and detail of the turnings produced by everyone here but my comments are generaly limited to the ones that are different, either in shape or done in a wood that is more unusual. I hope I said this right!

        Gee Pappy,

And here I thought you just didn't like me []

To learn that I might have impressed the great Mr. Kirby indeed made my heart flutter.

I was thinking your apology might be that you've had a lathe for almost a year now and haven't set it up yet.

You probably thought I'd forget by now, but I remember.

Pappy (and Rod!) - no apologies necessary. The great folks of this forum seem to be more interested in woodworking than in keeping score!
