    Turned captive ring interlocking

    Turned my first set of interlocking captive rings. The goblet is black walnut and will be used for a centerpiece.



    A tip to those who just started captive rings. Sand them completely before completely cutting free. It will save you a PITA when you are finishing.

      It is a very beautiful goblet. I just got my captive ring tool and spent some time honing it, so I will be trying it soon. I'll be lucky to just get one ring. Thanks for the posting.

                          Thanks everyone. I took me a little while to figure out, but if you have any questions about the captive rings, or want some tips when you start making them, let me know and I will provide you the info I have learned. Boy did I make a few mistakes on this one!
