That is a beautiful set, Chuck. The gold and purpleheart are an elegant match!

Very nice, Chuck. And FYI, that picture size seems just about right to me.

Turning out pens like that would make it fun.

            Thanks.

Just for the record, the PSI Polaris pen/pencil kit was scanned on a canon scanner at 600 dpi color into adobe photoshop elements, cropped and saved as a jpg image at 25%. The grain is pretty but dark so scanning isn't optimum. Got a lot to learn.

If I ever get the Jet mini set up, and SWMBO gets into turning, I see an astronomical Purpleheart budget. Her favorite wood. Gonna be worse if she starts seeing pictures like this!

                Chuck,

Photoshop Elements is a great little program - have you tried the "E[u]n</u>hance" menu, "[u]A</u>uto Levels" option? I tried it on your picture and it definitely lightened it up. In the "[u]F</u>ile" menu, the "Save for [u]W</u>eb" option is best used after an image re-size.

You'll probably find that you can get away with a lot less resolution when scanning - try 150 - I doubt the difference will be noticeable on an 800 x 600 screen. JMTQW
