    Segmented Teachers slim line pen.

I started playing with segmenting blanks..

This pen has Walnut, Cherry, Cocobolo bands on the black end and bloodwood on the red end.
Well I think it's bloodwood.. It came from my mystery box of off cuts the neighbor gave me when he moved.

I've never seen one like this sscherin. Is that two kits made into one pen.? Great concept.

Nice clean lines in the segments. Did you use a jig to cut and glue the pieces?

I used the CMS to cut the pieces.. sanded the light saw marks out on a fine grit flat perma-grit sander then glued each piece on with thick ca and trimmed to length on the cma again.

I started with a long blank so I could cut safely, built up and trimmed off at one end & cut off the finished piece.

Next pen is a Virage kit..

I was thinking of using these for it

That is a very cool pen. I like the way it's segmented. Why is it called a "Teachers Pen"? Is it because it's double ended?

yeah.. it has a red cartridge on one one and and black in the other..

There is nothing really special about the kit other then the tubes and the little adapters to mount the short ink cartridges.

If I were to make another I would do a little something different with the shape.. maybe swap in bands and tips from a gunmetal or Ti plated kit.
