I turned on my Jet mini lathe the other day and the motor would run but not the belt. I loosened the bolt on the motor and pushed down which tightened the belt and got it to work, however, every time I turn it on now, I have to do the same thing. Anyone have any ideas?

I'd call Jet. Tyey will probably send you a new belt.
Meanwhile, try cleaning the belt real good.

I would check the pulleys and make sure they are clean and not slipping. I would also check the belt for wear. Next make sure your motor is staying locked in the position that you have set it in.
