    Finaly some shop time today

It's been to cold to get the shop to working temp. We had a heat wave today, 45. Was able to get the shop toasty and turned a couple pens to complete an order.
I couldn't resist so I chucked up a piece of the Bocote I received from Woodcraft yesterday.
    Here is the result.

Wow! Gorgeous wood! And you did it justice with your design and finish, Dick!

      Thanks for the compliment.

I am allways in awe when I put a rough cut piece of wood on the lathe and and it turns out like that.

I think that is what realy turns me on to woodturning. You know that you are creating something but untill it is finished you don't realy know how good it is or isn't.

I have my share of isn'ts but the camera doesn't seem work when I try to take pictures of them.
