    Playing With Veneer

I bought a package of assorted veneers from LV, so I glued a few up with some Bloodwood and Purpleheart to make a blank. After cutting the blank at 10 degrees, I cut it into two and drilled it out for a pair of Sierras. I turned them both today and I am very happy with the results.

    Thanks for looking.

Very cool Rich, nice color tone and nice contrast with the veneer! Did you take any progress pics? It's such an interesting process. The veneer swirl kinda looks like the Nike swoosh as seen from the inside of a sneaker!
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

Very nice! Wish the photos were a bit bigger though.

Thanks for the comments guys. No progress pics as this was just a trial. Next time I'll take some from start to finish......and try and post bigger pictures.( I try and keep them a little smaller for anyone who has dial-up)
