My first weak attempt at a hollow vessel. It [u]was</u> supposed to be bigger, but a couple of 'design changes' resulted in about 3" in height. The inside shape does indeed follow the outside, with the wall being about 3/16" thick. I used a round end scraper with the left side ground, followed by a Sorby Hollowing tool.
This is a piece of Sourwood from the 'fire wood' pile. I sanded through 320 with paper and through 12k with micromesh. Finish is Crystal Coat after sanding sealer.
I think these are going to be a fun challenge.
