I bought a couple of blanks from James at The Wood Shed just outside of Smithville. Included were a couple of angle cut zebra wood. I paired this one with a round top euro and upgraded the pocket clip to the music theme. I plan on showing the music pens at the local music shop to see if there is any interest. This is the last in the series. Thanks for looking.

That came out very nicely Richard. I've got a good bit of zebrawood on hand and have only made two pens from it so far. My last experience with it was not as thrilling as some of the other woods I use, due to the large pores in it. It went ok, but BLO/CA finishing seemed challenging.Bill in Buena ParkComment

Thanks guys. I did use BLO/CA on this one as I like how I can put many coats on in a short time. I start with thin ca for three coats and then move to 6-8 coats with medium ca. There were a number of small pores along one side that gave me some grief but sanding to 600 grit helped quite a bit. I did have a large chunk blow out while squaring the blank but it fit back in perfect so I yellow glued and clamped it in my vice. Once turned and sanded, I couldn't see where it had broke. From the "deep south" part of Canada
