    A Trip To Woodcraft

I received an order for 5 bottle stoppers and needed 2 oak boxes for a pen order so had to go and pick up the kits and boxes.
They are promoting a new line of turning tools, PinnAcle made in China, so I picked up a 1/4" spindle gouge. For $19.99 I didn't figure I could go wrong, I've spent more than that on a lousy bottle of Scotch.
Tomorrow is shop day so I'll give it a try.

Yeah I agree lousy scotch is not worth $19.99.
Measure twice, cut once, screw it up, start over

I am also wondering what you thought about the gouge Dick? I took a look at those tools when I was at Woodcraft. I found they had the exact same markings as the PSI tools even the same stamped font and size. What made them different to me was that they all had huge handles! I thought would be rather uncomfortable for me and also the price was much higher than those at PSI.

I tried the gouge today, it worked very well. It took some getting used to the long handle as my Crowns have a shorter handle. I think that I will stick with Crowns unless these stay at 30% off.
Not a bad tool and a bargin at the price.
