    Back On The Lathe

The Canadian winter has finally subsided enough for me to get back into the shop and not soon enough. I recently hooked up with a friend from grade school through FB. He wanted to buy a pen from me but I refused to sell one to him. He is an old friend so I made one special and said that it is a gift. Then I thought...."What if his wife likes it and it goes...missing!" So I made another so they can battle for their favorite.

Steve is a Pastor so I made a Fisher Of Men in Bumble Bee acrylic and a black titainium euro in Bethlehem Olive Wood. Lousy picture as I have to get my light tent set up again but thanks for looking anyway.

Nice work on both Richard. I really like the abundant grain in the olivewood.

Nice pens. I like them both! Never tried acrylic pens.

Makes me want to blow the dust off the lathe and start turning again - haven't done so for several years now.
