    My slippery slope pics...

I was inspired by Bill's post, so here's the first batch of pens that I made. They've pretty much all been given away, and I've placed my second order for kits at woodturnerscatalog.com. (Their prices and service, by the way, are excellent.)

I think they're pretty much in the order that I like them and made them. There's some more detail -- including what I think are the species -- on my site here: http://www.thefrankes.com/wp/?p=2185

Looks good to me Alex. You should be sure to keep at least one for yourself as you will never have another "first" pen.

Today I picked up some more pen kits as well as some acrylic pen blanks. It's not hard to get hooked.

Great selection of kits and woods Alex. I really like the coloring of the redheart and padauk. I'm envious of your batch processing - I'm having a hard time settling on which kits I like, so am proceeding slowly with one-offs. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, guys. I'm slowly but surely expanding my selection of kits on hand.

The species is actually a bit of a challenge for me. I ordered a box of assorted blanks from Craft Supplies USA -- some of them are pretty clear, but others I have absolutely no experience with!
