    Soapstone

I got brave and am trying something new. Both of these pens are cut from the same 35# block that I bought. The Black Ti Sedona was finished with 8 coats of straight med CA and buffed on the Beale wheels. With the Noveau Sceptre BP I wiped the sanded blanks down with BLO and then finished the same way as the other. I like the color change from the BLO.

I do too Dick! What did you use to turn soapstone?? Is it soft enough for regular tools to cut? Nice work as always
I think in straight lines, but dream in curves

It is about the easiest material I have ever cut and turned and can be worked with regular tools.

Very cool! I figured it would be very abrasive as it is a stone. Awesome!
