    Still making Christmas gifts

Still making Christmas gifts right down to the last minute. I made some more pens as that was the general request of many of the family.

From left to right, Maple Burl, Australian Blackwood Fiddleback, Macassar Ebony, Ebony.

I thought for sure I was done with the Angles and mentioned to the wife that I was glad I did not have to make anymore. She asked me if I had made one for our niece! Well back out to the shop I went. This is Maple and Redheart.

Ken, those pens ROCK!... and of course, you are now the official Angel Ornament Guy

What kit is that you are using for those pens? and is the omission of a center band your idea or is it the way the pen is designed to be made... I love the "wood all the way" look.

Bill, they are a standard Slimline kit. I hate the way center bands fit. No mater what kit I bought they never fit well enough for me so I started making them without. I just use regular 7mm bushings and on the top piece I lathe a taper and then roll the edge.
