    Pen Pics

Ok, some of you are able to really show off the pens you create very nicely in the pics I've seen posted. I am definately NOT a photographer so..... how do you do it?

Anyhow, here's a few stocking stuffers for Christmas. Wish the picture could show the real beauty of some of these woods.

From L-R Maple Burl, Lacewood, Redheart, Sapele, Lacewood, Redheart, Ash Burl, Bocote, Zircote, Spalted Maple(stabilized), Quilted Maple, Eucalyptus(stabilized) and the front one is Spalted Red Alder.

    Thanks for looking.

Bob, those are stunning! I'm feeling inadequate again.
And, the photography is as good as I've seen.

Very nice variety Bob! I used to own an art gallery and photographed artwork for advertizing and marketing and three important words. Lighting, lighting, and lighting. You would be amazed how good of a photograph you can get with even a 1.0 Megapixel camera with a good lighting setup. Here is an article from a fellow woodturner on how he does it. http://www.penturners.org/content/PhotoBooth.pdf

P.S. which pen supplier do you get your cushion grips from?

Thanks for the info Scott, seems simple enough.

Most of my pens are from Penn State. The link is for the 'Combo' pen, the other cushioned ones are the 'Comfort Grip' pens.

Wow...I feel honored....I never thought I would get an offical mudder 'YOU SUCK!'. I consider that high praise indeed.

                  Thanks,

                      Well.....

I can't say holy f#(&!ng s#!t that's nice work cause Adele will hunt me down an slap the snot out of me. So I think a big YOU SUCK! kind of tells you how I feel. Right Kenneth?

Now that we have that straightened out I can go back to bed. It's 1:04 am here and I have to get up at 0 dark thirty for work.

Don't make me have to 'splain this again.
