Sweet! I like... one question... I've done chainmail using aluminum rings and it has a nasty habit of oxidizing and making your skin black... I've also done some using "bright aluminum" which didn't seem to have that habit. I'm assuming that "bright aluminum" is some type of aluminum alloy that resist oxidation. What kind of aluminum is this?

Yep, that's slick. I would like to try one, but don't think I'm ready for that yet. Am curious how it will hold up.

              Really sweet.......

That is one gorgeous pen! I'm assuming that the filings would be sharp, as well. How did you protect your hands?

yeah they are sharp, but didnt really cause me any problems. I just took a little off at a time so the shavings did not get to long.

                    Very nice work.
I've seen one made from copper wire but never from Aluminum.

                    Good Job.

How did you get the grain to pop like that? Very nice. I have been thinking about doing one of those. I have had experience routing and cutting aluminum with my miter saw and it cuts pretty easy. Just got to take it slow. I would imagine turning would be the same.
