    Seeing as Christmas is coming up, I've been cranking out projects. Here is a pretty simple lamp for my sister:

        Don't make her mad. Judging from the pictures, it is a fairly small desk lamp but it has a massive look to it! Nice design.

                  The hole through the center was kind of a pain. I started it with the drill press, and then used a 12" brad point bit in a hand drill. That didn't go quite all the way through though, so I had to start it from the other side as well. Luckily the two holes met "close enough" to be able to get the lamp rod all the way through.

                    Lovely piece, consider investing in a lamp auger to drill out the center hole presuming the tail stock on the lathe is hollow.
                    Even a blind hog finds an acorn from time to time.
