    Bocote Sceptre

I really like this kit and thought a closed end would look good. I think that this one has found a home in my pocket. I cut the blank from an 18" stick of Bocote that I had ordered from Rockler for bottle stoppers. The finish is 6 coats of BLO/CA, MM thru 12000 and Hut plastic polish.

I agree that it's made to your usual excellent standards and that the grain patterns are great, but I can't say that I've ever liked the closed-end style. If anyone was going to change my mind on that, it would've been you, Dick. Sorry - no cigar this time, I still can't take to the shape.
