    thoughts on Nova midi chuck???

    It's on sale at woodcraft for 100$, any thoughts??

    Is this worth the 100$ or am I better just buying a talon or full size nova??

      I have the basic chuck, Keith, without the pin jaws and the bowl chuck and I believe I paid a little over $100 just for the basic chuck when I bought it and it serves me well. As others have noted, the two bar system of tightening is a little awkward, but you get used to it and this is a GREAT price!!! I don't think you can go wrong, IMHO.

        I forgot to mention that this chuck WILL take all of the NOVA jaws and other accessories in the NOVA line.

          Thanks for the input gang, I pulled the trigger. I don't do a lot of turning, but I enjoy it, and at 100$ it seems a nice price. Next will be some wide jaws....

            I don't think you will be disappointed. I just added "cole jaws" for holding onto the front of your bowl while you finish the back side of the bowl.
