    Turning Wood Gloat

Today UPS delivered 9 bf of 11 1/2" X 1" mahogany from a 1974 Boston Whaler. The wood is beautiful, no rot but some screw holes to work around.
The trade off is 5 pens, think I will send him 6 as an extra thank you.

      Here is a picture.
The first one is of the mahogany. Each piece is 27" X 11 1/2" X 1'.
The second is of some teak a buddy dropped off today, about 10 pens worth, I didn't gloat on this windfall.

Today I cut and drilled some blanks from that mahogany gloat. I couldn't resist so I turned a pen.
The wood is beautiful, why he replaced it I have no idea. The original Boston Whaler varnish looks like new.

            Enough BS, here's the pen.
