    Wish me luck.

Tomorrow is the day. A few members of my woodturning club and I are going to be teaching at an area high school. This is one of the only agricultural high schools in the state of Connecticut. They taught a quick woodturning class last year and it was a big success. This year we have double the number of “instructors” each with a lathe. I’m going to bring my camera and see if I can get a few pictures. Not sure if I will, but I will try. I’m a little excited as this is the first time I will be turning in public and the first time being a “instructor/demonstrator”. I’m also a little nervous that I will screw up. Wish me luck.

No worries Scott! Although I have never gave a demonstration on my turning I have taught college and vocational. They can’t eat you and you would be surprised at how good you will do when you’re not “Trying” to keep from messing up. Woodturning is a flow, take it all with a grain of salt. Remember Raffan if keeps his mess ups in his tapes.

Just do what you know, have fun and use that sense of humor you are famous for and you will be great.

It's probabaly after the fact by now, but I hope things went well. Hopefully a good story or two will come of this.
