    a "few" new turnings

    here's a few pieces i've done recently,
all from trees i got in folks backyards around here.

my personal fav's are the aromatic red cedar ones, i love the amorphous shape of the tree trunk(at the base/ground level)! got it out in the hamptons... i did some plates the other day with it too, but theyre splitting, so i need to seal them somehow?(i made another post for that)...maybe lotta stress in the wood im not sure, i submerge them in a tub of mineral oil overnight after turning.. wonder if i should first submerge in denatured alcohol and then the oil...but i dont really want the metalic dryers to be in the wood that people will eat off...hmmmm

Well, holy smokes! That's a lot of nice stuff you've turned. It's hard for me to pick out the one I like best from so many of them, but I really like a couple of the bowls.

Wow, that is a lot of impressive work.

Your photography skills have really developed too.

        Thanks

a while ago i actually purchased a Photography kit that i have yet to use too..
comes with 2 light difusing photo-tents,(with different background colors)
2 full spectrum bulbs and light fixtures on tripods, all goes in a nice padded carrying case..got it on ebay for hm, $80 i think. "discount tommy" rings a bell...

still havent gotten a new camera, but eyeing the canon rebel XSI, its a 12megapixel DSLR. can hardly wait to get it, but ill need to sell a LOT of stuff before i can afford it and some good lenses! .
