Amboyna Combo

Turned this one over the weekend for a customer to give to her husband for his birthday.
It is a CSU combo pen made from amboyna.

I used a home made friction finish. It is a mixture of BLO beeswax shellac and a little alcohol.

Is it durable? That's my only concern with going for friction finishes. I like CA finishes for their durability, but they're a pain to do.

I have found them to be pretty durable. Not a durable as a CA finish but still good.
