    2 Sierras

He are 2 pens I turned this morning form the Group Buy the Mike aka "RussianWolf" put on over at Pen turners website. The kit arrived yesterday. Excuse the pictures as I need to make some adjustments. The pens are Sierras with a Poker theme and a Hawaiian Warrior theme. Probably the two easiest pens I have made. The plating is chrome and black Titanium. Pokerpen is Acrylic and the Warrior is Desert Ironwood with a CA finish.

Very nice. I just got my kits from Mike today, I'll be really happy if they turn out as nice as yours.

Just finished one with the fish theme and Dessert Ironwood. Looks nice untill you look closer and with a different light and angle, lot of lines either in the wood or more likley in the CA finish. I will have to sand it down and refinish it tomorrow. I need to get a different light over the Lathe. Thanks for the nice comments they are appriciated. Thats 3 pens in about 5-6 hours. Having one barrel and only having to press the clip and top piece into the barrel, assembly is fast and simple, For your info I downloaded the instructions for a Sierra Pen from Arizona Silhouette. The kits don't come with instructions, really don't need any if you have done a few pens before.

BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL. I think you got your lathe just a month or so before I got mine. I am really impressed with your work, it looks fantastic. Keep it up, inspiration for all.

I have been too busy building our house to do any pens (dang it) and I also missed the group buy that RussianWolf put together (dang it again). It was a huge buy, he deserves a lot of kudos for doing it.
