    A Big Stopper

We are friends of a couple that bring wine to the BYOB happy hour in an old Paul Masson carafe using a plastic cup for a stopper. I am going to present them with this at todays happy hour.
It is Butternut and Rosewood and stands 6" tall.

Very nice, they will love it. How big a blank did you start with, and what is the diameter of the stopper that goes in the Caraf?

        Dick:

I worked for Seagram and Paul Masson for many years ... sold a bunch of carafes. I know that your friends will enjoy using your "big" stopper as much as I enjoyed seeing it.

I purposely avoid these turning projects cause I'm trying to avoid getting sucked into buying a lathe, but that is pretty neat.

            Dick -

That's a very generous thought of you, it certainly will pay them the compliment I'm certain you want to.
