Wood Gloat - My first real one!!

I had some friends from work who lost some trees in the recent Oklahoma ice storm who asked me if I wanted some of the downed trees. Last Saturday I got a pickup truck load of Black Walnut and yesterday I got a pickup truck load of Redbud. Here are some pictures of the Walnut, the Redbud (and my little truck ) and the Rikon Bandsaw I bought just for when I finally got some wood like this

It just feels funny to congratulate you on your wood and express wood envy.

It's all in the context I suppose....grats! great looking wood!

Don - I got enough to share if you're interested in some... and I'm still thru Shawnee on the way to OKC at least once a week... got three projects going on there now!

Rob - that 'bout made me shoot beer out my nose... still laughing at that one..

mpauly - uncut log end grain has all been anchor sealed and then I'm anchor sealing as I cut (this stuff cracks fast)
