    Proper bevel angles?

Ok, so I just recently got the PSI Wolverine clone for Christmas. Now I want to go through all of my chisels and give them a proper sharpening. But Some of them have been hand sharpened for some time, and the bevels and profiles have been altered. Does anyone have a link to a site, or maybe a book they'd recommend that has profiles and bevel angles to use?

    Thanks!

One of the best books I've seen on the subject is "The Complete Guide to Sharpening" by Leonard Lee. Amazon's got it for about $15.

You can go to http://www.oneway.ca and get the instructions and watch the video for the wolverine system. The system you have is for all intensive purposed the same and the instructions and techniques will work. They also discuss sharpening profiles for the various tools.

Just Google "tool sharpening" for a host of resources to sort through. Here is a good place to start, which has a lot of fundamental information in a small package.

Set the vari-grind like jig so that the leg is 2 notchs up from the back, this sets the side grind (bevel) length.... set the v arm for the correct nose angle.... 40 deg for spindle gouges and 60 deg for bowl gouges...the gouge should protrud from the front of the jig 1 3/4 inchs.....this is my setup for the Wolverine system that the PSI is a copy of....
