I have asked so many question in this forum, I decide I had better post pictures to show I actually did turn some pens. Besides these there are a bunch of Slimline pens I practiced on that will be disassembled and redone or refinished.
Picture #1 Dark Blue/Pearl chips Acrylic
Boise State Blue/Orange Acrylic for my Son
Pink Ivory for my DIL
Picture #2
Bocote Proto for Pen/ Pencil set for Pastor of our church. will be made of
Bethlehem Olivewood for the present. The the bocote will be use for some
other present with a regular clip.
ATlas Made with some kind of Oak that we cut down at the church,
This piece had a bunch of voids, splits and other issure I had to repair as I
turned it. Have no Idea what species of Oak it was, could have been Live Oak
Pink Ivory Trying differnt finishes.
Picture #3 Bloodwood, with no center ring
Pink Ivory for Sister
Monterey Pine From another dead tree we cut down at church
Bocote This is the 1st pen I turned. I turned this at a class I took one
evening at Woodcraft.
Picture #4 Pink Ivory, Pen and Pencil set LOML is sending to a Pen Pal (Computer type)
in Great Britan
Canarywood Pen and Pencil set LOML is sendin to another Computer
Pen Pal in Great Britian. These were not made special for that purpose
but she wanted to send something to these two women so I gave her
a choice of a couple of sets I had turned.
I have enjoyed turning thiese and have a bunch of pen sets coming for Christmas Presents. I will be busy for the next couple of weeks getting them done. I will try and improve the quality of the pictures next time.
