    Couple of Projects

These lignuum vitae crab crackers were turned for a friend who is a judge, so I changed the design a bit since I figured he would be tired of using a gavel.. - They must have cracked about 6 dozen crabs without so much as a scratch.

The natural edge burl is a real attention getter in the booth when we go to a craft show. But so far nobody has been willing to pay my asking price so I may drop it a bit.

The Magic wands have been a real hit with the kids and (mostly) the adults. More adults have read Harry Potter than you might have thought. I'm going to do another series of wands with the center hole bored a bit deeper, put in a vial filled with "unicorn hairs" or phoenix feathers and then drill a transverse hole through one of the beads so it can be seen.

They all look great, but the burl bowl is really great.
BTW, I'd have thought unicorns hair and phoneix feathers would be in short supply in VA this time of year

They look great! How did you put color on the wand handles?

The bowl looks really good. I bet if you have it displayed in an art gallery, you'll probably get your asking price, if not more.

Very nice work. Be patient with the bowl, I am sure it is well worth what you are asking.

Cool projects! I get many more requests for magic wands than I thought I ever would. Those are some nice ones..

              Keep up the good work!

Acrylic Paint and some antique guilding polish -- My wife actually did the painting --

I've found a source for some really small test tubes - So I'm going to drill down through the handles and then cross drilling through the handle so that the tube will be visible -- then you'll actually be able to see the phoenix feathers, unicorn hairs and dragon heartstrings that make my wands "special"..

I've even got a batch of Holly --

I'm selling them mostly to adults and a one to a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians...

I'm thinking of branching out into broom making in time for the next movie release.
