    Pen Turning- Disassembly tool

What's the best way to disassemble a pen? I know there are tools out there- about $20 at Woodcraft. But, I'd rather spend the $$ on kits or finish. So, is there an easy way to take a pen apart without the spendy tool?

    Thanks!

What kind of pen are you taking apart - slimline, fountain, etc?
