    Cup of Joe

This is a Yellowheart and Makore mug I was making for my cousin who is a USC fanatic. The colors aren't quite right, not enough maroon, so I'm working on a bloodwood and yellowheart version now. Finished in Mirror Coat epoxy and sanded to 1200.

    Comments and critiques welcome.

    Regards,

    Brodie

Mmmmm...Finding a good insulated mug is next to impossible. Never thought about making one. Where do the parts come from?

            Yours looks beautiful!

Been there. The manager was blown away.

I was paying for my new kitchen counter top in Lowes yesterday and struck up a conversation with one of the employees who is opening her own retail wine shop. She was looking for some unique pieces to display and was very interested in mugs like these, so I guess I'll be turning a couple more.

Its a fun project to turn, not too hard as long as you can ride the bevel on the outside.

The best part is that I have a new way to show off my turning work while at the day job.

                        Regards,

                        Brodie
