    A couple of quick questions

Just a couple of quick questions. I bought a midi lathe just to give me something to do while I'm work shop space impaired waiting on my house to get finished. I've been more in tool buying mode instead of wood working but quickly found that I enjoy turning much more than expected and ordered the Jet JWL1236 that arrived today. I was going to sell the mini lathe but saw this buffing system in a Woodnet thread.

    Anyone use it?

Another quick one is have any of you put lockable casters on your lathe or does that create too much of a vibration issue?

I don't have that exact one but I have the one by Beal which is very much like it. I've used it and it works very well but it's just one of several finish posibilities. I actually use my most with just the Carnauba wax to put a shine on other types of finishes.

I prefer an off lathe buffing system.
The bed ways on your lathe limits you on buffing some forms.
You can use an old 1/2 hp 1075 blower motor and build a stand to put it on.
I use the Beall buffing wheels and I also have the 4" bowl buffs.
