    Oh that sinking feeling

Yesterday I glued up two blocks of what for me is expensive wood for two candy dishes. Joined a WW Guild and found a mentor to teach me.
Weeeeell..... put one on the foot of my DP with a box of tile for weight. Put the other outside the shop on the driveway.............
Woke up this morning wondering how much rain last nights storm brought.....hadn't finished my first cup of coffee when I remembered where that second mahogany and quilted maple glueup was still sitting I'm hoping it will dry out ok but there is a heck of a knot in the pit of my stomach right now. Ouch, Pat, that's gotta be a heartbreaker. Guessing the cup of coffee didn't survive either?

    Measure it with a micrometer...
    Mark it with a crayon...
Cut it with a chain saw!

Looking at the pics in the completed projects forum, I don't think the rain hurt anything.
