Over here, it's Woodturning: A Foundation Course by Keith Rowley (ISBN:1861081146).
Also available on video.
Not sure about DVD.

I have the one that Ray mentioned and I think it is very well written.

I'll wait until I actually start turning, though, before I say that it should be in every turner's library. (Although I really think it should!)
