    SuperNova2 chuck?

I have a Harbor Freight Lathe that suits my needs, so I am not looking for a new lathe YET.

But on to my question. Will the SuperNova2 (Woodcraft# 145898) chuck fit/work on the Harbor Freight lathe?

The reason for this question is that it is on sale at Woodcraft for $159.99. If this will fit my lathe I think I will spring for it.

Thank you in advance for your help

The sale item does not come with the threaded insert, so that is an additional expense, but you can buy the proper one. Just get the specs on your model of HF lathe and get the proper insert, and it should work just fine.

The Supernova chuck uses adapters so you should have no issues. I kind of like chucks like this as you are not constrained moving them from one lathe to another. An example is me going from my old lathe at 1X8 to my new lathe at 1-1/4X8 and all I had to do was buy a new adapter.

The Nova is a good way to go with all the accessory jaws that are available for it and I have found the quality to be excellent on my Teknatool products.
