    PC4212 Router Bit Depth?

I have been using the 4212 dovetail jig for about 6 months - off and on. A recurring problem for me is in the setup for half blind DT. Most of my issues lie in the depth to set my router bit for the cut. I have tried to use the "onboard depth guide" - left side of the jig, but that isn't consistent either!

Is there anyone out there that has the PC4212 dovetail jig and could measure the distance from the top of the guide to the top of the HB DT template? I am beginning to think that the factory setting has gotten messed up. Or....is there an easier way to set the depth other than trial and error?

    Thanks,

    Wayne

I have it and found the factory setting isn't necessarily right.
You need to adjust to fit the thickness of wood you are using. A couple of trial and error runs should get it.
I have recorded the settings I've used on mine for each different thickness.
